As announced in a February 2021 letter to the University community, Brown will distribute $5.4 million in funding to eligible undergraduate, graduate and medical students to assist with the unexpected financial consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligibility for COVID-19 relief funding was determined by the recommendations of a working group of students, faculty and staff who developed and decided on the most equitable most equitable model for distributing the total funding to eligible students. Eligible students were notified of their offers by Student Financial Services via email — students did not need to apply for funding.
